Telescope Giveaway

With all this talk of Light and Astronomy, wouldn’t you just love to set up a telescope in your backyard and see it all for yourself? Well, this is your chance!

Once again we are very excited to announce that our astronomical sponsors, Celestron, have provided the AstroLight festival with a fabulous telescope to one very lucky ticket holder. All you need to do is purchase a ticket (or more – might be a good excuse to bring the whole family, your friends, your neighbours…) before 11:59PM Thursday September 6. Already have your ticket? That’s OK, everyone who has already purchased their ticket is already in the draw.

Best news yet, in the tradition of AstroLight the big prize will be presented by our extragalactic visitors and our wonderful sponsors, Celestron on the Amphitheatre stage.

About to announce the winner of the 2017 Celestron Telescope prize.

So what kind of telescope is up for grabs? You can be taking home an Astro Fi 102 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope. This telescope has an RRP of $855.00 (Inc. GST), and is controlled via WiFi (phone or tablet), and free Celestron app, Sky Portal. Wow!

The Astro Fi 102 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain with fully coated glass optics provides outstanding views the Moon and planets, as well as bright deep space objects beyond our Solar System.

The team from Celestron will also be hosting a stall on the night with telescopes and plenty of information to set you up with the telescope of your dreams. Make sure you check them out and have a glance through their machines. You will also be able to spot a few Celestron telescopes out on the Arena looking at the night sky in our Field of Astronomy.

Tickets will still be on sale on-line right up until the event. Tickets will only be available on the night if not already sold out, so we suggest booking on-line to avoid disappointment.
